Origin: Punjab, India.

The cropped khes jacket is made using hand-loomed fabric sourced from a village in Punjab, North India. A boxy fit jacket with drop shoulders, it comes with a block printed cotton lining and pockets. A season-less and genderless piece, wear it with a jumper or knitwear of your choice for cooler weather. See size details to find your fit. 

About the craft: Khes weaving is a textile craft is indigenous to rural Punjab in North India. A thick woven cloth, Khes fabric is primarily woven by women on pit looms. They weaved this fabric for their wedding trousseau for its multiple uses. Due to cheaper machine made alternatives, the craft has seen a dramatic decline over the years where looms have been stored away for years. 

About the fabric: Our handloom khes fabric is sourced from our founders ancestral village in North India where we have worked with traditional women weavers who had once given up weaving. A mid weight fabric reversible patterned fabric,  each piece is one of a kind and is uniquely yours. Wear it proudly and treat it with care so it can be with you for many years to come. 

 

We travel to remote parts of India to discover and learn about craft skills and textiles. We work with vintage, dead-stock and handcrafted materials. Therefore, slight irregularities are the natural outcome of the process and are not faults. They connect you to the process and story behind each piece.

  • This is a boxy cropped oversize fit. Please see garment measurements below to find your perfect fit.

  • Sleeve length from shoulder: 21 inches.
  • Front length from collar: 22 inches.

Medium

  • Chest (pit to pit) : 48 inches
  • Front length from collar: 23 inches.
  • Fits size 8 - size 12

Large

  • Chest (pit to pit) : 50 inches
  • Front length from collar: 24.5 inches.
  • Fits size 10 - size 16
